Therapy & coaching · Andrew Richey, LCSW

When getting through it isn’t enough.

You may be exhausted by work, stuck in the same fight, adjusting to fatherhood, or trying to live with a loss. We start with what’s happening in your life and work toward what needs to change—with respect for what can’t be fixed. My main areas of focus are healthcare burnout and leadership, men and fathers, couples, and grief.

Online therapy is available for clients located in Florida and Pennsylvania. We’ll confirm availability, fees, and insurance eligibility before booking. My practice is LGBTQ+ affirming and welcomes people across gender identities, sexual orientations, relationships, and family structures.

Leadership & sustainable work

Healthcare burnout & leadership

I’ve been responsible for teams, care transitions, crisis services, and decisions affecting patients and staff. As a former healthcare system senior director, I led roughly 120 professionals across nine hospitals. I understand the tension between organizational demands and human needs.

For healthcare professionals and leaders, we examine the demands of the role, the habit of always being available, and what follows you home. Therapy can address anxiety, depression, grief, and the effects of crisis work. Executive coaching focuses on leadership, boundaries, decisions, and sustainable ways of working. We choose the service that fits your goals.

Coaching is separate from psychotherapy and does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. If burnout is connected to anxiety, grief, or other clinical concerns, we can discuss therapy instead.

Identity & connection

Therapy for men

Maybe you’ve learned to handle things yourself, stay useful, and keep moving. When that stops working, it can show up as irritability, withdrawal, anxiety, or a sense that something is missing.

We look at what happens when you shut down, snap, overwork, or put off a conversation you need to have. We work on understanding yourself and responding differently, without asking you to fit a narrow idea of how a man should be. You don’t need the right words to start.

Becoming & being a dad

Fatherhood & the transitions that change you

Becoming a dad can bring love and purpose alongside exhaustion, uncertainty, and a version of yourself you’re still getting to know. You may be entering fatherhood, finding your place as a parent, or navigating a new season with your children.

We talk honestly about preparation, the early uncertainty, changing roles, and how parenting affects your relationship and work. Becoming a dad can also stir up grief or questions about your own father. Loving your child and struggling with the transition can happen at the same time.

If your experience includes pregnancy loss or the death of a child, that grief deserves care of its own. We’ll make space for your loss, the impact on your relationship, and what it means to carry your identity as a father forward.

Two lives, one relationship

Couples & relationship counseling

You know how the fight goes before it starts. One of you pushes, the other pulls away, and neither feels heard. Or you’re managing a household together while feeling far apart.

Using Gottman-informed work alongside CBT and ACT, we slow down the cycle, practice clearer conversations, and work on repair. Parenthood, caregiving, anxiety, and depression can all affect how you relate. We address those pressures while respecting each partner’s identity and your family structure. Individual therapy can also focus on relationship concerns.

Loss & transition

Grief counseling

Grief is why I came into this work. Loss can change your relationships, your identity, and the shape of everyday life. You may be grieving a death, anticipating a loss, or carrying a transition others don’t fully recognize.

There’s no timetable or sequence of stages you need to complete. We can talk about the person you miss, the complicated feelings, and the everyday decisions that now feel different. The work follows your experience, without rushing you toward closure.

Teens & growing up

Teen therapy

School pressure, anxiety, friendship problems, grief, or figuring out who you are can be a lot to manage. Teens get a say in what we work on. We also clarify how caregivers can help while respecting privacy and building trust.
